The Evangelical Cemetery in Pirna holds several burial sites for victims of World War II. The deceased were prisoners of concentration camps - victims of evacuation transports from the Auschwitz concentration camp, as well as Soviet and Polish forced labourers. They are commemorated by means of a monument that bears a memorial plaque with the following text: ‘In memory of the victims from the People’s Republic of Poland.’ The names of 8 persons are inscribed upon it.
