The Old Cemetery in Lahnstein, part of which has already been liquidated, holds a burial site for victims of World War II. Several of them are the graves of Polish citizens - most probably forced labourers. The site is located right next to the newly-built road overpass that divides the area of the cemetery into two parts. The new black basalt cross-shaped headstones with the names inscribed upon them, are placed on the left side of a column that commemorates the fallen of the 1870-1871 War and World War I.
