Friedhof am Ahrtor

Cemetery description

In the north-western part of the Am Ahrtor Cemetery there is, surrounded by a low hedgerow, a burial site for victims of World War I and World War II. Its central part is marked by a stone stele on a small plinth that bears the dates 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. The victims’ graves are marked by black basalt crosses with white inscriptions upon them. Six of them are the graves of forced labourers deported from Poland to Germany.
