Cemetery description

The Wittenberge cemetery has 3 war graves burial sections containing the collective graves of victims of different nationalities. One burial section is located on the right side of the main entrance (the Parkstraße car park). The place is marked by several bronze memorial plaques. Among those buried here are Polish citizens. A second burial section is located on the same side of the cemetery but a bit further to the back (it stretches along the main alley). Polish war victims whose personal data are inscribed upon the bronze memorial plaques are also buried here. The third war graves burial section can be found at the end of the cemetery, in Düsterweg Street. This is yet another place where Polish citizens are buried. The place is marked by a bronze memorial plaque with the names of the victims inscribed upon it.
