The Catholic Cemetery in Löbau holds a collective grave of 36 victims of World War II of different nationalities. The burial site for foreign citizens is located in the central part of the cemetery, to the right of the main alley. The four metal memorial plaques bear the names of the victims of different nationalities, among others Soviet, Polish, French, Hungarian and Croatian. Most probably, during the war, the deceased worked at the railway stations in Löbau and Zittau or in the clay mine in Löbau. A large number died in the hospital in Löbau.
