The northern part of the cemetery in Königswartha holds two war graves burial sites. At least 33 persons of Polish nationality are buried here - male and female forced labourers that worked in this area. Their graves are marked by wooden crosses and plaques that have the victims’ names inscribed upon them. To the north-west of the cemetery, there is a site marked by a monument dedicated to fallen Soviet soldiers and to soldiers from the Polish 2nd Army. The plinth bears an inscription in German, Polish and Russian that says: ‘Honour and glory to the Soviet and Polish liberators.’
